12 donuts
Ingredients

Donut

  • 1 cup Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Flour
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Mummy Drizzle

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3-4 Tbsp milk
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix until blended.
  2. Add egg, oil, milk and vanilla. Whisk until batter is smooth.
  3. Pour batter evenly into a greased donut pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
  5. For the mummy drizzle, place all ingredients into a bowl and use a hand mixer to mix until there are no clumps and is smooth.

  7. Add eyeballs and voila! You have some spooky mummies.
* NOTES

*You can use this recipe in a standard baking dish as well. You will need to adjust the baking time and then cut into squares/rectangles.

Overview

October is right around the corner and I'm celebrating by sharing these spooky mummies!

These mummy donuts are a simple yet delicious treat, perfect for any Halloween festivity.

Made with rich cocoa powder and topped with a delicious cream cheese drizzle, you'll find there's nothing to be afraid of here (well, maybe the amount of donuts you find yourself eating in one sitting).

And if you're like me with kiddos, let them help you out by picking out and placing the eyes on your mummies.
