It's summer, so the beach days have commenced! (Hallelujah)
Beach days with babies and toddlers are a little more high-stress due to the amount of things you need to bring. But don't worry, I got you! I've become a beach day PRO.
Here's my top picks for a smooth, enjoyable, and dare I say... relaxing(?!) beach day:
For babies needing shade, this is an absolute must. I used to plop Willow in here as she ate her snacks, played with her toys, etc. It has a zipper on the back so that you can allow a breeze to flow through on those really hot days. Fabric is easy clean up. It takes less than 5 seconds to set up and *maybe* 10 to put back in its portable bag.
I didn't even know this existed until my mother-in-law gifted it to us. Gone are the days of having to shake off your towel due to sandy messes. If you get sand on this mat, gently wipe your hand over it and it gets sifted to the very bottom, allowing you to quickly go back to enjoying your beach day.
3) Portable Fan
This is especially crucial for babies, but toddlers (and adults) can benefit from this too.
4) Beach Toys
I like that this one comes in a mesh bag. Convenient for sifting sand out before throwing in your car. A must for keeping a busy toddler, well, busy.
5) Snacks & Water
All the snacks.
6) Towels
7) An extra pair of clothes
Trust me. Oh, and extra diapers and wipes.
That's it! Yes, it's not as easy as just grabbing your own bag and running off to the beach kid-free. But, I promise packing all of these items are worth it for a smooth and enjoyable day.
